Will your home loan lender pass on the savings?
Tuesday September 2, 2008
With the RBA dropping the official cash rate by 25 basis points, can you be sure your home loan lender will pass on the savings? If your home loan lender delays dropping their rates too long, you may wish to consider refinancing.
The rates drops will be different for different home loan types, so don't expect that just because a home loan lender drops their variable rate by a certain amount that they will drop their fixed rate mortgages as much or vice versa.
